Never forgotten

For years ago I was out bushwalking with my older kids.

One of my son’s best friends had just taken his own life.

The wave of sadness, regrets and what ifs still haunt me.

If he’d just reached out.

He was always one to ask about our family. We’d had him to our house countless times. Just that morning he’d gone to brunch with my son.

Please. If you feel this way, know that time can and will change life. Even great pain can dull, or be accepted as part of your journey into a new stronger person.

Please. If this you, reach out. Reach out now.
